SMS Terms of Service

These terms govern text messages (SMS) sent by Root Plus, operated by Root Plus LLC, an Illinois limited liability company.

What we send

If you consent to receive conversational, informational and promotional SMS from Root Plus, you agree to receive conversational, informational and promotional SMS from us. In practice that means:

• Conversational: a recruiter replying to you about your application, availability, or a role.
• Informational: appointment and orientation reminders, follow-ups, document-signing links, and status updates on your application.
• Promotional: new driving opportunities, pay or bonus changes, and referral offers we think are relevant to you.

How to opt out and get help

Reply STOP to any message to opt out. You will receive one confirmation message and then nothing further. Reply START to opt back in.

Rates and frequency

Message and data rates may apply.Your mobile carrier's standard rates apply to every message you send or receive; we do not charge you for messages.

Messaging frequency may vary depending on where you are in the hiring process and what you have asked us about. Delivery is subject to your carrier and is not guaranteed.

Two separate consents, both optional

Application messages and marketing messages are agreed to separately. Our forms show two independent checkboxes:

• one for conversational and informational texts — recruiter responses, appointments, orientation, document requests and status updates;
• one for promotional and marketing texts — job opportunities, pay or bonus updates, referral offers and recruiting services.

You can agree to either, both, or neither. Agreeing to application messages does not opt you in to marketing, and we do not send marketing to anyone who has not ticked that second box.

Consent to receive text messages of either kind is not a condition of applying, of being presented to a carrier, or of any purchase. Every box starts unticked and the form submits without them. We record which consent you gave, when, and the exact wording you were shown.

Your opt-in information is never shared

No mobile opt-in or text message consent will be shared with third parties or affiliates. Your phone number and your consent are used only to contact you about recruiting and placement. We do not sell them, rent them, or pass them to data brokers, advertising networks, or marketing partners.

Supported carriers

Messages are supported on major US carriers. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Every promotional message we send carries opt-out language: “Reply STOP to opt out.”
